Pawoot “Pom” Pongvitayapanu is a Bangkok-based serial entrepreneur and the founder of Thailand’s first online marketplace, TARAD.com, established in 1999. The platform grew to become Thailand’s largest B2C e-commerce marketplace, with over 100,000 registered merchants.

In 2009, TARAD.com was acquired by Japan’s leading e-commerce company, Rakuten, and Pongvitayapanu continued to contribute to the development of Thailand’s e-commerce sector.

He is also the co-founder and director of several other ventures, including the digital agency Winter Egency, the social data analytics company Zocial Inc., the fintech firm Creden Co., Ltd. (offering eKYC, e-signature, and business credit scoring services), and SHIPPOP, Thailand’s largest shipping gateway.

Academically, he earned a Master’s degree in Internet & E-Commerce from Assumption University and completed an Executive MBA at the Sasin School of Management.

Pongvitayapanu is the founder and chairman of the Thai E-Commerce Association and serves as a lecturer and advisor at Silpakorn University.
