Privacy Policy

ASEAN M&A Partners (SG) PTE.LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “we”) establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of users’ personal information in the services (hereinafter referred to as “the Services”) provided on this website.

Article 1 (Personal Information)

“Personal Information” refers to “personal information” as defined in the Personal Information Protection Act and includes information about a living individual that can identify the specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained in such information, as well as data such as facial appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and health insurance card numbers that can identify a specific individual alone (personally identifiable information).

Article 2 (Methods of Collecting Personal Information)

We may ask users for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s license number when they register for use. Additionally, we may collect transaction records and payment information, including users’ personal information, from our affiliates (such as information providers, advertisers, and advertising distributors, collectively referred to as “Affiliates”) in transactions or interactions between users and Affiliates.

Article 3 (Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information)

We collect and use personal information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide and operate the Services.
  2. To respond to user inquiries (including verifying their identity).
  3. To send emails about new features, updates, campaigns, and other services we provide.
  4. To contact users as needed for maintenance or important notifications.
  5. To identify and refuse service to users who violate the Terms of Use or attempt to use the Services for fraudulent purposes.
  6. To allow users to view, modify, or delete their registration information and check their usage status.
  7. To charge users for paid services.
  8. For purposes incidental to the above purposes.

Article 4 (Changes to the Purposes of Use)

We may change the purposes of use of personal information only when it is reasonably recognized as related to the purposes before the change. If the purposes of use are changed, we will notify users or publicly announce the new purposes on this website by our prescribed methods.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

We will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining prior user consent, except in the following cases:

  1. When necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property and obtaining consent is difficult.

    • Inclusion of provision to third parties in the purposes of use.
    • Items of data provided to third parties.
    • Means or methods of providing to third parties.
    • Stopping the provision of personal information to third parties upon user request.
    • Method of receiving user requests.

However, the following cases are not considered third-party provision:

  1. When entrusting the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use.
  2. When providing personal information as part of a business succession through merger or other means.
  3. When jointly using personal information with specific entities and notifying users of the shared use or making it readily accessible, including the items of personal information, scope of shared users, purposes of use, and the responsible party.

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

Upon request, we will disclose personal information to the user without delay. However, we may choose not to disclose all or part of the information in the following cases, and if such a decision is made, we will notify the user without delay:

  1. If disclosure could harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the user or a third party.
  2. If disclosure could significantly interfere with our proper business operations.
  3. If disclosure would violate the law.

We generally will not disclose non-personal information, such as usage history or characteristic data.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

Users may request correction, addition, or deletion of their personal information (“Corrections”) if it is incorrect, following the procedures we specify. Upon determining that such a request is necessary, we will make the Corrections without delay and notify the user.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information)

If a user requests the suspension or deletion (“Suspension”) of their personal information due to unauthorized use or acquisition, we will conduct a necessary investigation and take appropriate measures based on the results.

Article 9 (Analytics)

This website uses Google’s “Google Analytics” for access analysis. Google Analytics collects data via cookies, but the data is anonymized and cannot identify individuals. Users can refuse data collection by disabling cookies in their browser settings. Please refer to Google’s terms and policies for further details.

Article 10 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

We may change this Policy without prior notice, except as otherwise required by law. The revised Policy will take effect upon its posting on this website unless otherwise specified.
